98 <br />5-15' <br />Tethering Consmettia Meaiing <br />j lla; 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />Finally, it was agreed that the implementation period should be changed so that an adapted <br />amendment would become fully enforceable eighteen months after its adoption. The fast <br />twelve months would be an education period prior to the ordinance becoming effective, and <br />the final six months would involve limited a nkmment using only warnings. <br />Committee members agreed that once the approved changes were made, the report should be <br />presented to the ASAB for review and a decision as to whether it should be recommended to <br />fire BOCC. It was further agreed that Bob Marotto and Margie Huggins would prepare a <br />final draft that would then be circulated by email to all Committee members for their <br />approval. <br />Meeting Adjourned 8:00 p.m. <br />The Orange County Tethcring Committee Report and Proposal for Ordinance Amendment <br />(dated July 30*, 2007) was snbmftted to the Animal Services Advisory Board and <br />subsequently. approved. <br />
