2 <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Approval of the plan update has no direct financial impact. However, <br />plan implementation will involve significant costs that will be better defined as the Board makes <br />decisions about which elements of the plan to carry out, and when. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board discuss the solid waste <br />plan update, provide direction to staff on any needed, changes, and adopt the attached <br />resolution to approve the updated plan for submission to the State. <br />
