Other members of the Board <br /> noted it now had information in the form of the Water Resources Task Force <br /> Report which had not earlier been available: some membe-rs of the Board said <br /> they had not had time to study the Report. The County Attorney offered <br /> his opinion, when asked, that it would be legal to "preserve the status <br /> quo" for a"reasonable length of time" to petit study of the Report. <br /> Commissioner omitted moved to approve the prelinunary plan for the <br /> Barker subdivision; Commissioner Gustaveson seed. Commissioner 44hitted <br /> withdrew his motion and called the question on the previous motion. <br /> Vote to call question. Vote: Ayes, 4 (Cam- <br /> missioners Barnes, Gustaveson, Walker and witted); noes, 1 (Commissioner <br /> Willhoit) <br /> Conudssioner Willhoit moved "to declare .a mmmorator- on further von- <br /> sideration of subdivisions in the University Lake watershed until we have <br /> a chance to review and act upon the recommendations of the Water Resources <br /> Task Force;" Commissioner Barnes seconded the motion. The Board noted <br /> the report of the Water Resources Task Force was due for review by this <br /> Board on September 2. Mr. Polatty, Planning Director, responded to questioning <br /> by the Board by saying that without checking the records, he could only re- <br /> call one subdivision which was currently in the process which would be <br /> affected by this motion. Commissioner Willhoit clarified his motion by <br /> saying it was to declare a moratorium on "further consideration of applications <br /> for subdivisions;" and the Chair said therefore, it would not apply,if passed, <br /> to those already in the planning process. <br /> Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by commissioner Walker, to <br /> table the motion to declare a moratorium until, the first Monday meeting in <br /> September, because it is a substantative issue.
