Vote: Ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />Agenda Itetm 9: Cable television Issues <br />The County Attorney, Mr. Gledhi_11. reported to the Board rega+~ing <br />the status of Cable T.V. in Orange County; he noted anon-exclusive franchise <br />had bin awarded to Village Cable on January 26, 1981, acid on Feb 'wry 23, <br />14x7, the Baaxtd had am~ded the Orclinan~.,,ihich increased the scope of the <br />px~ existing permitted use franchise which was then offered to Alert Cable <br />T: J. Mr. Gledhill said this requ.ir~ed foYmal acceptance '.(or re j~ctian) by <br />Alert. Mr. Mark Hudson, attorney for Alert Cable, was present at the meeting. <br />Mr. G:'_edlii]1 reported that Alert Cable had x'ppnrtrxlly -been soliciting sub- <br />scrib~rs beyand the "status gua of February 23; 1981."
