An update on <br />the work of this task force will be given in December at the County Commissioners' <br />retreat. <br />4. CONSERVATION EASEMENTS <br />County Engineer Paul Thames summarized his written report on open <br />space/conservation easement activities ongoing within Orange County. The report was <br />received as information. <br />Commissioner Brown said that since a lot of these programs pertain to <br />wildlife habitat and Orange County is presently doing a wildlife corridor, it might be <br />good to overlay some of these and integrate this work. <br />ADDED ITEM - UPDATE ON THE WORR OF THE COMMITTEE STUDYING THE HORACE i~IILLIAM3 PROPERTY <br />Commissioner Gordon was on the original committee. They are now working on the <br />actual zoning of this property. She is not sure if the Land Use Plan has been adopted <br />by Chapel Hill or not. Orange County has not taken any action on this plan. <br />Geoffrey Gledhill clarified that this area is in the transition area which means <br />that Chapel Hill could annex it. <br />John Link will get an update on the process and report back. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />With no further items to consider, Chair Crowther adjourned the meeting.
