16 <br />said that because of the wide area they are serving, it will not be dependent <br />upon building dense development in any one place. They can serve where <br />development occurs. <br />B. TRIANGLE J COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS <br />Mr. Charles Krautler, Executive Director of Triangle J presented <br />a brief report on the COG's current work plan and plans for the future. He <br />noted some of the benefits that the County will receive from their membership <br />for 1995-96. He distributed a report showing past accomplishments and future <br />plans. This included a free-hours policy which will provide every local <br />government that is a member of Triangle J a certain number of hours that will <br />be available to the County. The report showed the sources of revenue, the <br />projects that are currently on their way and a compilation of how their dues <br />are allocated. The major activity they are involved with is aging service. <br />He noted that they actually return $8.00 in services for every $1.00 paid in <br />dues. He continued listing some of the projects they are currently working <br />on. He also noted that dues were being decreased from $.49 to .39 per capita <br />for 101,599 persons. <br />XI.
