8 <br />OF THE SHERIFF AND REGISTER OF DEEDS POSITIONS <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners, as authorized by North <br />Carolina General Statutes 153A-92 and Article II, Section 3.13 of the Orange <br />County Personnel Ordinance, has set the salaries of the Sheriff and Register <br />of Deeds as provided below effective December 5, 1994. <br />- The salary of Sheriff Lindy Pendergrass is Step lOC of Salary Grade <br />80 in the Orange County Classification and Pay Plan. The Step lOC <br />salary is $74,964. <br />- The salary of Register of Deeds Betty June Hayes is Step 11B of <br />Salary Grade 78 in the Orange County Classification and Pay Plan. <br />The Step 11B salary is $70,535. <br />All other compensation elements including expense allowances are as set <br />forth in the Orange County Personnel Ordinance. <br />The compensation of the Sheriff and the Register of Deeds shall change <br />from time to time according to the Orange County Classification and Pay Plan <br />pursuant to Performance Reviews conducted by the Chair of the Board of <br />Commissioners or where that Plan prescribes automatic changes in step or <br />salary or as otherwise changed by Resolution of the Board of Commissioners. <br />H. BID AWARD FOR TWENTY NINE PERSONAL COMPUTERS FOR DEPARTMENT OF <br />SOCIAL SERVICES <br />The Board approved awarding a bid for the purchase of twenty nine <br />(29) personal computers for Social Services to P.C. Innovations of Cary, North <br />Carolina at a delivered cost of $1,250.00 per computer. Other bids received <br />include TRI Met at $1,290, Total Computer at $1,726, Gateway 2000 at $1,735 <br />and NBC at $1,292. <br />I. FOX HILL FARM PHASE ONE SECTION C PRELIMINARY PLAN <br />The Board approved the Preliminary Plan for Fox Hill Farm Phase One <br />Section C subject to the conditions contained in the Resolution of Approval <br />as presented in the agenda. The property is located in Eno Township on the <br />north side of Miller road at the intersection with Baldwin Road. Thirty-Nine <br />lots are proposed out of 65.61 acres. <br />J. REVISED MEETING SCHEDULE FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1995 <br />This item was deleted from the agenda and will be presented at the <br />December 20, 1994 regular meeting. <br />ADDED R. CBA EXPANSION FUNDS <br />The Board approved the Community-Based Alternatives allocation of <br />$20,000 as follows: <br />County Manager's Initiative $ 5,260 <br />Volunteers for Youth 6,850 <br />Volunteer Families for Children 3,945 <br />Communities In Schools 3,945 <br />VOTE ON THE CONSENT AGENDA: UNANIMOUS <br />
