PERSONNEL ORDINANCE REVISION <br />Elaine Holmes briefly explained for consideration of approval <br />revisions to the Orange County Personnel Ordinance sections covering: <br />Sexual Harassment <br />Recruitment and Selection <br />Temporary Appointments <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by <br />Commissioner Insko to adopt the proposed Personnel Ordinance revisions <br />effective December 1, 1994 as presented in the agenda. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />amended. <br />VOTE: Ayes, 3; No, 1 (Commissioner Willhoit) <br />G. MEETING SCHEDIILE FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1995 <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner <br />Halkiotis to approve the meeting schedule for 1995 as submitted and as <br />X. REPORTS <br />A. NORTH CAROLINA INFORMATION HIGHWAY <br />Some months ago, County staff began discussions with Orange County <br />School staff and telephone company representatives to explore opportunities <br />for cost effective access to the North Carolina Information Highway. <br />Telephone company representatives and a staff member from the State's <br />Information Highway office made a brief presentation of what can be available. <br />The Board encouraged this committee to include the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City <br />School system in future discussions.
