9 <br />~ CONTRACTS BETWEEN THE ORANGE COIINTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND THE DNC <br />SCHOOL OF MEDICINE FOR ITS DEPARTMENTS OF FAMILY MEDICINE, OB/GYN <br />AND PEDIATRICS <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign the renewal of <br />Professional Service Contracts between the Orange County Health Department and <br />the UNC-CH School of Medicine for its Departments of Family Medicine, OB/GYN <br />and Pediatrics. These contracts provides faculty members who serve as part- <br />time medical director and clinicians. This approval is subject to the <br />approval of the County Attorney and Purchasing Director. <br />M. REOIIEST FOR PROPOSALS - HISTORIC PRESERVATION PLAN <br />The Board approved the draft request for proposals and a list of <br />possible consultants for the preparation of the Orange County Preservation <br />Plan. <br />~. JAIL MEDICAL SERVICES CONTRACT RENEWAL <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign the renewal of <br />the Jail Medical Services contract with Orange Family Medical Group through <br />June 30, 1995 for a sum of $15,000 per year. <br />Q PYROTECHNIC PERMIT - TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL JIILY 4 CELEBRATION <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign a pyrotechnics <br />permit for the Town of Chapel Hill's July 4 Celebration. <br />P. QOMMIINITY BASED PIIBLIC HEALTH INITIATIVE (CBPHI) <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign an agreement <br />between the Orange County Health Department and JOCCA which will promote <br />community involvement in planning community based interventions to improve the <br />health of minority populations in selected Orange County communities through <br />a subcontract of Kellogg Foundation funds. <br />VOTE ON THE CONSENT AGENDA: UNANIMOUS <br />ITEMS REMOVED FROM TH8 CONSENT AGENDA <br />B. RELIEF FROM COLLECTING DELINOIIENT TAXES FROM INSOLVENT_PERSONS <br />After several questions were answered about the delinquent taxes, <br />a motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis <br />to approve relieving the Tax Collector of the levy of certain delinquent tax <br />accounts from 1989 and earlier as indicated on the list in the permanent <br />agenda file in the Clerk's Office. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />IX.
