5 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, We, the ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, do hereby <br />proclaim April 23-29 as Orange County Preschool Immunization Week, this the <br />4th day of April, 1994. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />E. PROCLAMATION OF APRIL AS PIIBLIC HEALTH MONTH <br />The presentation was made by Health Director Dan Reimer. He noted <br />that a child should receive 15 shots before the age of two. A motion was made <br />by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Insko to proclaim April, 1994 <br />as Public Health Month_as stated below: <br />PUBLIC HEALTH MONTH <br />PROCLAMATION FROM THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />APRIL, 1994 <br />WHEREAS, The State of North Carolina has adopted the month of April, 1994, <br />_ as Public Health Month in North Carolina; and <br />WHEREAS, The public health facilities in Orange County serve thousands of <br />our citizens each year; and <br />WHEREAS, Public health assures a clean, safer, more wholesome environment <br />_ in which to live; and <br />WHEREAS, Healthful living is the major prevention of the financial burdens <br />of disease and chronic illness; and <br />WHEREAS, Concerned, informed and active citizens will ensure a "healthy <br />future for Orange County; _ <br />THEREFORE, We hereby proclaim April, 1994, as PIIBLIC HEALTH MONTH in Orange <br />County, with the theme "Healthy Living". <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS , <br />VI. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS - NONE <br />VII. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY ACTIVITY CENTER BONDS <br />Assistant County Manager Rod Visser made the presentation. He said <br />that a public hearing is being conducted on the proposed issuance of Orange <br />County Community Activity Corporation revenue bonds. The Board is requested <br />to consider an amended resolution approving the Orange County Community <br />Activity Center project. The amount of the bond has been increased from 9.85 <br />million to 10 million to allow for a large debt service reserve which will <br />make the bonds appear more. secure and thus much more attractive to potential <br />investors. <br />There were no public comments. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Insko, seconded by Commissioner <br />Willhoit to close the public hearing and approve the amended resolution as <br />stated below: <br />
