RSVP. the Libraries. Recreation, <br />the Task Farces and Advisory Councils. <br />C[~r[missioner Barnes presided over the meting. <br />JOCCA was represented by Mr. [ohs Hare, F~ecutive Director, Mx. Keith <br />Aldridge and several staff membwrs. Mr. Hare and Mr. Aldridge made the <br />budget presentat>ran and request 'to the Board of Cca-anissianers. 4he <br />Board noted the larg2x share of the money is either coming fran Orange County <br />or was money drawn down. by Orange CoLUity and yet the greater number of per- <br />sons served was iaz Chatham County; the Board wished to know if there was <br />any way that the money directly attributable to Orange County contributions <br />ar match could be reserved for the citizens of Orange County. the Board <br />noted that Orange County was responsible for about 80~ of JOCCA's funding <br />however Grange County daes~n't receive 80~ of JOCCA's services. The Board <br />asked i_f there could be a more equitable distribut;~„ of services for the <br />money. Mz. Hare said the impact of such a request would be, "Terrible." <br />The Board thanked Mr. Hare and Mr. Aldridge for the budget presentation. <br />Mr. Jerry Passmore presented the budget request frcan the Departmexlt on <br />Aging- Mr. ~'assmore introduced staff and Mr. Wilsean McKerrow, the Chair <br />of the Senior Citizens Board. Mr. Passimre noted there were two positions <br />being cut in this budget; coe person would retire and not be replaced while <br />the other position was '~ ti~re Outreach. The Board noted that this was a <br />12 month budget while the Degaxtrn~-t had only been a department far 9 months; <br />it requested an analysis be done which would permit the canmarisan of <br />figures far 9 months and 12 months. <br />
