He feels this dis- <br />courages prospective companies who would be interested in locating in <br />this area. <br />Eno: Josephine Barbour: €x pressed her concern with the exclusion <br />of Eno State Park from possible sites for water supply. <br />Paula Burger: (New Sharon Church Rd.) Feels this Land Use Plan is good <br />work and consistent with the features of the area. <br />Stewart Barbour: Said .the Land~:Use Plan was premature in its presentation <br />to the public; he protested the legality of the public hearing and said <br />there had been insufficient public participation. <br />Ben Lloyd: protested the deletion of the Eno as a possible water source. <br />B7~'ngham: Bland Simpson, Route 1, Chapel Hill, spoke in favor of the <br />Agricultural/ residential zoning proposed for this Township. <br />Dan Elbert, spoke in favor of the Land Use Plan and asked it be adopted as <br />submitted. <br />Chapel Hill: There were no comments. <br />Ms. Crawford opened the floor to general comments regarding the Land <br />Use Plan. <br />Horace Johnson: Said the plan was incomplete; it should provide pro- <br />tection for the water supply and he specificaly spoke to the Haw River pro- <br />blem of pollution and requested Lake Orange be included. <br />Unidentified citizen: Asked that the Board consider the U.S. Corps of <br />Engineer' study regarding water quality in the Haw. <br />Bill Hearn: (From the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce) said <br />the Chamber does not think the L.U.P. considers the uniqueness of Southern <br />Orange County or the need for industrial development.
