SIL;~ly~ MINUTES 'JUNE 1, 1981 The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on Monday June 1, 1981, at 10:00 A.M., in the Commissioners' Room, Orange County Courthouse, Hillsborough, North Carolina. Commissioners Present: .Commissioner Anne Barnes, Chair, and Com- missioners Norrt~n Gustaveson, Norman Walker, Richard Whitted and pon Willhoit. Commissioner Barnes presided over the meeting. Agenda Item 1: Board modification Commissioner Barnes added discussion of the June 4th public hearing to 11-C; she moved agenda item 24 to 10-B and added .discussion of S.B. 583 to the agenda. Agenda Item 2: Audience Coinnents A. Matters on the agenda: Ms. Nancy Tapp said she was present for item 5. -~ B. Matters not on the agenda: No one wished to sneak to matters not on the agenda. Agenda Item 3: Minutes: April 21,•April 27, May 11 and May 18, 1981 • Co!tvnissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Whitted, approval of the Minutes of April 21, as submitted. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, D. Gormnissioner 4illhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Whitted, approval of the Minutes of April 27, with 'the correction of a typographic error. Vote: Ayes, 5; noes, 0. Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Com~nissi.oner Whitted, to approve the Minutes of May 11 as corrected. Vote: Ayes, 5; noes, 0. Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Whitted, approval of the Minutes of May 18 as submitted. Vote: byes, 5; noes ,0. The Health Director told the Board he would like to discuss 5.6. 490. It was added to the agenda as Item 8-A. Agenda Item 4: New Connnuriit Oevelo ment Director The Personnel Director, Ms. lJhitehead, introduced Mr. Albert Kittrell,
