ASSIGNMENT OF SURPLUS VEHICLES TO VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Willhoit to adopt a policy which, upon written request from a <br /> volunteer fire department, would allow assignment of a surplus County vehicle, <br /> based on the availability and that the Director of Purchasing and Central <br /> Services be authorized to effect the transfer as appropriate, setting the <br /> price at the "auction value" which will be determined by taking an average of <br /> the prices for which vehicles of like make and model were bought at the annual <br /> auction. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> ADDED ITEM <br /> J.
