14 <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, if a permanent facility in the County of Orange <br /> appears cost-effective as a result of responses to region-wide requests for <br /> proposals for coordinated household hazardous waste disposal, the County of <br /> Orange endorses the concept of establishing a permanent household hazardous <br /> waste collection facility within its jurisdiction. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> G. CONTINGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR TORNADO EXPENSES <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Insko to approve the budget ordinance amendment stated below <br /> which transfer $51, 000 in contingency funds for tornado expenses: <br /> GENERAL FUND <br /> Source - Miscellaneous Appropriation ($51, 000) <br /> Appropriation - Public Safety $51,000 <br /> (To appropriate Contingency for tornado <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS expenditures related to public safety) <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Halkiotis to amend the 1992-93 Budget Ordinance by the following <br /> amendment: <br /> GENERAL FUND <br /> Source - Miscellaneous Appropriation ($ 5, 000) <br /> Appropriation - Child Care Partnership Pro. $ 5,000 <br /> (To appropriate Contingency for program <br /> planning and subsequent application to <br /> the State) <br /> NOTE: these funds will be reimbursed to the County after the Legislation has <br /> been approved. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> H. COUNTY ATTORNEY CONTRACT <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Insko to approve the contracts as submitted by the law firm of <br /> Coleman, Gledhill and Hargrave, P.C. to provide for Orange County legal <br /> services generally and to provide legal services to the Orange County Child <br /> Support Enforcement Program. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> IX. BOARD COMMENTS - NONE <br /> X. COUNTY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> John Link stated that he will have a report for the August 4 <br /> meeting on the process and concerns about the budget as well as information <br /> on further discussion on merit and on Commissioners' goals with revised <br /> timelines. <br /> XI.
