Carolina Air Care Paramedic Staff Contract <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign a contract <br />with UNC Hospitals to provide paramedic staff for the Hospital Based Air <br />Ambulance program. The new contract is based on actual cost reimbursement <br />for seven (7) full-time paramedics and one (1) part time position. <br />D. Carolina Air Care Ground Unit Contract <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign a contract <br />with UNC Hospitals to provide ground ambulance services for support to the <br />Air Transportation Program. Emergency Management provides staff and <br />logistics for the Air Transportation Program under terms of a contract <br />with the UNC Hospitals. The County's reimbursement will increase to <br />$12,000 a month with this contract. <br />E. Coordinated Agency Transportation Agreements <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign pro forma <br />C.A.T. agreements and renewal agreements for (1) Agency participation, (2) <br />Vehicle Assignment, (3) Vehicle Lease, (4) Driver Assignment, and (5) Taxi <br />Provider. Participation agreements will be continued between Orange <br />County and eleven human services agencies. <br />F. Approval of Provider Agreements for Elderly Respite Services <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign provider <br />agreements for in-home care at a rate not to exceed $9.50 per hour and <br />institutional respite at a rate not to exceed $30.00 per day. <br />G. Memorandum of Agreement with North State Legal Services <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign the <br />Memorandum of Agreement with North State Legal Services for the provision <br />of legal counseling and assistance for Orange County residents sixty years <br />and older who exceed North State's income eligibility guidelines but who <br />cannot afford to seek legal services from the private sector. <br />H.
