VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />IV. RESOLIITIONS[PROCLAMATIONS <br />A. PROCLAMATION OF THE WEER OF MAY 3-9, 1992, AS ORANGE COUNTY <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WEER <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner <br />Halkiotis to adopt the proclamation designating May 3 through May 9 as Clerk <br />to the Board of County Commissioners' Week: <br />P R O C L A M A T I O N <br />CLERKS TO THE BOARDS OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' WEEK <br />IN ORANGE COUNTY <br />MAY 3 THROUGH MAY 9, 1992 <br />WHEREAS, It is imperative to the democratic process that a well informed <br />citizenry participate in the operation of their local government; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the office of the Clerk to the Board provides the communication <br />link between the citizens, the local government legislative body <br />and administrative departments and agencies of government at other <br />levels; and <br />WHEREAS, the County Clerks serve as the information center on the functions <br />of their local government by making available the records of local <br />government, distribution of published materials and reports and <br />answering questions on the government activities and programs; and <br />WHEREAS, the Clerks to the Boards have upon their own initiative <br />participated in education programs, seminars, workshops and the <br />annual meetings of their state and national organizations which <br />not only improve the operation of their office but through their <br />achievements and awards have brought favorable publicity to the <br />county that they serve. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Orange County Board of Commissioners, do <br />recognize the week of May 3 through May 9, 1992, as Clerk to the <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners' Week, and extend our <br />appreciation to our Clerk to the Board and her staff and to all <br />County Clerks for the vital services they perform and their <br />exemplary dedication to the county they represent. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />B. EMS WEER PROCLAMATION <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by <br />Commissioner Gordon to adopt the proclamation as stated below designating May <br />10 through May 16, 1992 as EMS Week in Orange County: <br />A PROCLAMATION <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES WEEK <br />
