ORDINANCE AMENDING A FRANCHISE TO CABLEVISION OF DURHAM, INC. TO <br /> 7 CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEM WITHIN THE <br /> 8 UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> 9 The Board approved the second reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A <br /> 10 FRANCHISE TO CABLEVISION OF DURHAM TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A CABLE <br /> 11 TELEVISION SYSTEM WITHIN THE UNINCORPORATED AREAS OF ORDANGE COUNTY, NORTH <br /> 12 CAROLINA. The amendment stipulates that Cablevision of Durham, Inc. will <br /> 13 actively market a multichannel satellite system "Primestar" in an area <br /> 14 excluded from the franchise area by the ordinance amendment. This ordinance <br /> 15 amending a franchise to Cablevision of Durham is in the Ordinance Book in the <br /> 16 Clerk's office. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 B. APPOINTMENT AND ORIENTATION PROCESS FOR BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> 19 The Board approved a resolution which sets forth the procedure for <br /> 20 making appointments to the various boards and commissions on which the Board <br /> 21 makes appointments and a process for an orientation program for all new <br /> 22 appointees. This resolution is attached to these minutes on pages <br /> 23 and is in the Board of Commissioners' policy and procedure <br /> 24 manual as # . <br /> 25 `f9a <br /> 26 C. SPOON LAKE - PRELIMINARY PLAN - Moved to VIII-C for separate <br /> 27 consideration. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 D. FOX HILL FARM PHASE ONE SECTION B - PRELIMINARY PLAN <br /> 30 The Board approved the Preliminary Plan for Fox Hill Farm Phase <br /> 31 One, Section B subject to the conditions contained in the Resolution of <br /> 32 approval attached to these minutes on pages . This property is <br /> 33 located along the Eno and Hillsborough Township line on the south side of <br /> 34 Miller road (SR 1555) . Most of the tract is in Hillsborough Township and <br /> 35 zoned Agricultural Residential. The total acreage of the subdivision is <br /> 36 approximately 47 .73 acres. Eighteen (18) new residential lots are proposed. <br /> 37 The average lot size is 2 .49 acres. All lots will be served by individual <br /> 38 wells and individual septic tanks. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 E. Z-1-92 LAWTON CABINET COMPANY - ZONING ATLAS AMENDMENT - <br /> 41 The Board approved a Zoning Atlas amendment in Bingham Township <br /> 42 which corrects an error with regard to the location of the Existing <br /> 43 Commercial-5 zoning lot and the actual location of the cabinet shop. The <br /> 44 existing shop is on the south side of Old Greensboro Road between Ferguson <br /> 45 Road and Ivey Road. In 1981, the EC-5 lot was drawn incorrectly on the <br /> 46 Zoning Atlas. The cabinet shop is located on the central and eastern <br /> 47 portions of a 4-acre tract.
