Prt Approved June 25, 1991 <br /> 1 <br /> MINUTES <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> MAY 6, 1991 <br /> The Board of Equalization and Review met at 7:00 p.m. in the <br /> Courtroom of the Old County Courthouse, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br /> BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Moses Carey, Jr. , Vice-Chair <br /> Stephen H. Halkiotis, Commissioners Alice M. Gordon, Verla C. Insko and <br /> Don Willhoit. <br /> ATTORNEY PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill <br /> STAFF PRESENT: County Manager John M. Link, Jr. , and Clerk to the <br /> Board Beverly A. Blythe. <br /> BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW <br /> Clerk to the Board Beverly Blythe gave the Oath of Office to the <br /> five County Commissioners. They will serve as the Board of E & R for <br /> 1991. <br /> Chairman Moses Carey, Jr. convened the meeting. There were no <br /> questions and no citizens desired to speak. The meeting was adjourned. <br /> The next meeting of the Board of E & R will be held at 5: 30 on May 21. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Carey to go in Executive Session to consider the settlement of a claim <br /> on behalf of Orange County and to consult with the County Attorney. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Gordon to continue the Executive Session immediately following the <br /> Regular Meeting and to reconvene into Regular Session at this time. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioner met in Regular Session <br /> on May 6, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. in the Courtroom of the Old County <br /> Courthouse, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairman Moses Carey, Jr. , Vice- <br /> Chair Stephen H.
