CLASS CODE: 1307 <br /> FLSA: NON EXEMPT <br /> ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> CLASS TITLE: FOOD SERVICES COORDINATOR <br /> DEPARTMENT ON AGING <br /> GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB <br /> Under general supervision, performs administrative work in planning, managing, and <br /> implementing food,'nutritional and educational programs for the senior citizens of Orange County. <br /> Work involves developing, organizing, promoting and supervising the responsibility for the day-to- <br /> day operations the meal program for older adults in orange County. Works to ensure that <br /> Departmental and Senior Center Program Division goals are met. Reports to the Senior Centers <br /> Administrator. <br /> SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS <br /> Supervises food services program volunteers which involves such duties as instructing on <br /> adherence to sanitation regulations and program standards, assigning work and reviewing <br /> performance, constructive problem-solving, recruiting, selecting, assigning and evaluating program <br /> volunteers. <br /> Develops, organizes, promotes, and directs the food services program to meet the needs of older <br /> adults in Orange County; motivates and encourages participation in available senior center <br /> programming and services. <br /> Oversees the management of the food services program including day to day operations, facility <br /> management, completing required reports, problem solving and meeting the public on a daily <br /> basis <br /> Coordinate daily with caterer, placing meal orders for the next day in accordance with the <br /> i <br /> predetermined budget, and providing feedback on current day's menu. <br /> Ensure compliance with the NC Health Department, sanitation guidelines and federal/state <br /> regulations. <br /> Orders supplies and monitors inventory at both facilities <br /> Maintains required records and submits reports to orange County, the NC Division of Aging and <br /> Adult Services (NCDAAS) and other funders that determine financial reimbursement. <br /> Develop and coordinate specific food and nutrition service trainings and events for program <br /> employees, participants and volunteers, as needed. <br /> Administers the Senior Farmers Market Voucher Program and other special initiatives, as <br /> required <br /> @Archer Company 2008 <br />
