Must be <br /> able to use practical applications of fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion. <br /> Form lS atial A titude: Requires the ability to inspect items for proper length, width, and shape. <br /> Motor Coordination: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes in using office <br /> equipment; to operate passenger 1 motor vehicles. <br /> Manual Dexterit : Requires the ability to handle a variety of items, office equipment, control <br /> knobs, switches, etc. Must have minimal levels of eye/hand/foot coordination. <br /> Color Discrimination and Visual Acui Requires the ability to differentiate colors and shades of <br /> color; requires the visual acuity to determine depth perception, night vision, peripheral vision, <br /> inspection for small parts; preparing and analyzing written or computer data, etc. <br /> Interpersonal Tem erament: Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and <br /> receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with <br /> emergency situations or tight deadlines. Has knowledge of the functions and interrelationships of the County and other <br /> governmental agencies. Has knowledge of the laws, ordinances, standards and regulations <br /> pertaining to the specific duties and responsibilities of the position. Has knowledge of.community- <br /> based transit system operations, principles, and practices. Has knowledge of relevant State and <br /> Federal laws and regulations governing rural transit systems. Has knowledge of the Federal <br /> Americans with Disabilities Act requirements and regulations. Has knowledge of drug and alcohol <br /> testing procedures for federal, state, and local governments. Has knowledge of grant application <br /> principles and practices. Is skilled in decision-making and problem solving. Is skilled in operating <br /> multi-passenger vehicles, hydraulic lift equipment, and mobility equipment for. handicapped <br /> passengers. Is able to make sound, educated decisions. Is able to plan and develop daily, short <br /> and long-term goals related to department purposes. Is able to take the initiative to complete the <br /> duties of the position without the need of direct supervision. Is able to plan, organize and prioritize <br /> daily assignments and work activities. Has knowledge in the areas of transportation planning and <br /> management, fleet management, security operations, personnel, procurement, etc. Has knowledge <br /> of operation and maintenance of buses and other vehicles used for transportation. Is able to <br /> develop efficient bus routes and update as needed to meet the needs of the clients served. Is able <br /> to investigate and resolve operational, personnel and client behavior problems as necessary to <br /> ensure safe, reliable transportation. Is able to develop and implement plans and technologies to <br /> ensure safety on buses. Has knowledge of how to apply supervisory and managerial concepts and <br /> principles; has knowledge of administrative principles involved in developing, directing and <br /> supervising various programs and related activities. Has knowledge of how to plan, organize and <br /> direct a subordinate transportation staff. Is able to offer instruction and advice to subordinates <br /> regarding departmental policies, methods and regulations. Is able to perform employee evaluations <br /> and to make recommendations based on results. Is able to offer training and assistance to Co- <br /> @Archer Company 2008 4 <br />
