Vote: Ayes, 5; <br />noes ; 0. <br />There were several day care supporters present who voiced objections <br />to this transfer of funds and protested the amount of notice they had <br />been given. <br />Agenda Item 6: The Mana er Submits Contracts with Peat, <br />Marwick & Mitc a for the Audit of Fiscal <br />ear 19S _ 1 to t e Board for Its Consideration. <br />Commissioner Whitted moved to accept the contracts with Peat, Marwick <br />& Mitchell for the audit of fiscal year 1980-81; Commissioner Willhoit <br />seconded the motion. Vote: Ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />Agenda Item 7: A R,~ e~Or_,t from the Fjnance Director Concerning <br />Purchases ~ roug tithe State Contract. <br />The Finance Director said budget appropriations and approved budget <br />items were appropriate for the Finance Director to sign contracts for. <br />Those items which might be controversial or other items which had no% <br />been approved in budget sessions were items which the Finance Director <br />brought before the Board. The Board said it wished to be cansu.lted about <br />large purchases/expenditures and instructed the Finance Director to bring <br />such items before the Board. Commissioner Willhoit said he favored going <br />on State Contract for purchases. <br />Agenda Item 8: The Health Director Re uests the Board Con- <br />sider Increasin t e Current 19 Cents er <br />i e Reim ursement Rate Paid for t e se of <br />Persona Cars on fount Business. The Mana er <br />ecommen s no an e n is Rei ursement <br />The Health Director spoke in favor of increasing the reimbursement <br />rate for employees who drive personal cars on County business. The <br />Board directed the Finance Director to analyze the budgets of all County <br />Departments far the impact such a reimbursement increase would have on <br />a71 travel budgets and return to the Board with a report at the next <br />meeting. <br />The Board adjourned for lunch as the guest of the Agricultural Ex- <br />tension Service. <br />The Board reconvened following the lunch recess at 2:30 P.M. All <br />Commissioners were present with Commissioner Barnes presiding. <br />Agenda Item 9: The Board Will Issue a Proclamation Declaring <br />The Month of March As Mental Retardation Month. <br />
