The Board wants to address these issues before further <br /> discussion on implementation. <br /> X. ITEMS FOR DECISION - REGULAR AGENDA <br /> A. SUBDIVISION OF LOT 17 - LITTLE RIVER ACRES <br /> This property is located in Little River Township on the <br /> southeast side of NC 57. The track is 11.09 acres with six (6) lots <br /> proposed. A common area of 2.52 acres in size is proposed around the <br /> pond. In the Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan the property <br /> is designated Agricultural Residential and Water Supply Watershed. A <br /> public road (Trinity Lane) is proposed. On February 18, 1991, the <br /> Planning Board recommended approval of the Preliminary Plan for the <br /> subdivision of Lot 17 of Little River Acres through the Resolution of <br /> Approval which is a part of these minutes by attachment on pages <br /> Commissioner Gordon asked what the Planning Staff does with <br /> the information received about the type of soil on the site. Mr. Kirk <br /> indicated that it is required in the Ordinance and done mainly for <br /> information about the type of soils in the County. <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Halkiotis to approve the Subdivision of Lot 17 as stated <br /> in the Resolution of Approval. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> B. PLANNED PARENTHOOD - REOUEST FOR FUNDING <br /> In December, 1990, Planned Parenthood requested funding for <br /> their Minority Involvement Project. This request was referred to HSAC <br /> for a recommendation. HSAC strongly recommends that the County <br /> Commissioners grant the midyear request for $5, 000 for the Minority <br /> Involvement Project. <br /> Joyce Roland and Janet Combs from Planned Parenthood spoke <br /> in support of their request for a one-time contribution for this <br /> Minority Involvement Project. <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Gordon to allocate $5,000 to Planned Parenthood from the <br /> Commissioners ' Contingency Fund. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> C. BID AWARD - 911 EXPANSION (The bid sheet is made a part of <br /> these minutes by attachment on pages of these minutes) . <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Insko to allow the withdrawing of the lowest bid for HVAC <br /> made by Hockaday Heating and Air because the bid was based on an <br /> incomplete set of plans. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Insko to award the bid to Trout & Riggs construction <br /> Company for a total of $276,700. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />
