<br /> Roger WaIdon is a Principal with Clarion Associates, based in the North Carolina office. Mr. WaIdon
<br /> served as Planning Director for the Town of Chapel Hill for 21 years, directing the Town's comprehensive
<br /> planning and growth management functions. His work has emphasized neighborhood conservation and
<br /> growth management, including preparation of land use plans and special area plans, preparation and
<br /> administration of design guidelines, transportation planning, annexation, capital improvements, housing
<br /> and community development initiatives, and evaluation of development applications. Prior to his work

<br /> for Chapel H0111, Mr. WaIdon worked on regional initiatives as Director of Planning Programs for the
<br /> Triangle J, Council of Governments, a regional planning organization based in the Research Triangle
<br /> Park, North Carolina. He has also served as an elected official on the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Board of
<br /> Education. Mr. WaIdon is a frequent speaker at national planning conferences, and has lectured on
<br /> planning topics at Universities in Massachusetts and North Carolina. He has been recognized as a
<br /> Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
