The <br /> effort includes the preparation and administration of a Visual Preference <br /> Survey (VPS) to gauge local opinion on design and appearance related <br /> issues such as building orientation, commercial corridor development, <br /> and commercial design standards. Clarion and WRT will use the results <br /> of the VPS to inform the work program on the range of des-sign standards .. ......... <br /> needed by the community. In addition to commercial design, some other major issues to be <br /> addressed by the project include establishment of new mixed use districts, a neighborhood <br /> conservation overlay district framework, improving basic landscaping, tree protection, parking, <br /> fencing, and exterior lighting development standards.
