' <br />Pend,ergraph & Thomers-on <br />Gardner-Benoit <br />Mr. Nassif said all bid securities were in the form of bond and <br />there were no checks or .cash and any awarding of bids would be contingent <br />upon the bid documents being in order.,`. <br />Commissioner Whitted moved the;=Architect's recommendations on the <br />jail bids be approved and referred'to :the County Attorney for review; <br />Commissioner Gustaveson seconded that: motion. Vote: Ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />Commissioner Whitted further moved that the generator alternate 1 E, <br />that is installed and purchased, be accepted; Commissioner Gustavespn <br />seconded that motion. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />The County Attorney was directed to draw up the contracts if the <br />documents were in order after :his review. <br />Mr. Hannon Issacs requested permission to speak to the Board. He <br />said he was an attorney with the N. C. Prisoner Advocacy Council and <br />wished to present to the Board a Resolution passed by the Orange County <br />Bar Association on January 29, 1981. Mr. Issacs said he was not officially <br />representing the Orange County Bar Association. Mr. Issacs requested the <br />Board consider making the size of the cells larger. <br />Commissioner Barnes told Mr. Issacs that the appropriate State <br />Departments had approved the jail plans which were in conformance with <br />State requirements.
