Revenues: <br />3) The total current expense appropriation for Schools is $60,582,479. The <br />appropriation to the Chapel Hill- Carrboro City Schools is $37,456,049 and the <br />appropriation to the Orange County Schools is $23,126,430. The per pupil <br />allocation is approved at $3,200. <br />4) The recurring capital outlay for both school districts is $2,570,635 and is hereby - <br />appropriated $1;579,005 for Chapel Hill - Carrboro City Schools for recurring <br />capital. There is hereby allocated $991,630 for Orange County Schools for <br />recurring capital. <br />5) The County's ad valorem contribution to Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools and <br />Orange County Schools.totals $90,180,363 or 49.3% of the County's total <br />General Fund budget of $183,005,580. <br />6) The Ad Valorem property tax rate shall be set at 99.8 cents per $100 of <br />assessed valuation, an increase of 4.8 cents over the fiscal year 2007 -08 rate of <br />95 cents. <br />7) The Chapel Hill - Carrboro City School District Tax shall be set at 23 cents per <br />$100 of assessed valuation, an increase of 2.65 cents over the fiscal year 2008= <br />09 rate of 20.35 cents per $100 assessed valuation.
