~V4~~t " ; `_ . f .~u•.:'u To fix the terms of the members of the~Senior Citizens Board, the Board of Commissioners instructed the Clerk to put the names of those appointed previously (January 5, 1981) and those appointed tonight into a cup and to draw first for the three year term; second for the 2 year term; and third for the one year term. The Clerk did so and the following were drawn for the three year term: Gotha Lassiter, Gloria Williams and Gladys.8unker. Those drawn for the two year term were: Ruth West, Ralph s Neighbours and Van Kenyon, Jr.. Those drawn for the one year term were: Wilson McKerrow and Betty Landsberger. The Board directed the Clerk to notify those citizens of their appoint- ments and to notify Mr. Jerry Passmore, Director of the Department on Aging. B. Commissioner Whi.tted nomina~Ced:.Dr. Eva Saltier to the Mental Health Board and moved that with no further'~,nominations she be appointed to that Board. Commissioner Willhoit ;- seconded the motion. Commissioner Willhoit moved that with no further nominations Mr. Williams 6e appointed to -.that Authority; Commissioner Whitted seconded the motion. Vote: Ayes, 5; noes, 0. The Board instructed the Clerk to notify Mr. Williams of his appointment and to send a copy of the letter to Mr. Ed Bergman. Agenda Item 15: Community Development Groundbreaking Ceremony. '- "' Commissioner Barnes announced the Groundbreaking Ceremony to celebrate the start of rehabilitation work under the Community Development Grant would take place on January 28, 1981, at 10:00 A.M. at the Community Development offices in Northern Fairview. Commissioner Whined announced the Mental Health Legislative Breakr'ast was scheduled for January 24, 1981, in Chapel Hill at the Wesley Center.
