Senior Citizens Board ' :, w ~ CO Commissioner Barnes suggested the Board defer appointing its awn member - to the Senior Citizens Board until a later time. Commissioner Whitted moved those persons formerly on the Council'on Aging who had resubmitted resumes be named to the Senior Citizens Board. Commissioner Gustavesan seconded the motion. Those appointed to this Board were:, Gloria Williams, Wilson McKerrow, flan Kenyon, Jr., Ralph Neighbours. Vote: Ayes, 3; Noes, D. Commissioner Gustaveson moved to appoint Betty Landsberger to the Senior Citizens Board.. Commissioner Whitted seconded the motion. Vote: Ayes, 3; Noes, 0. ~. The Board asked the Clerk to contact Ms. Ruth West and Ms. Gotha Lassiter to ascertain their interest in serving on this Board and•to re turn. this to the Agenda, January 20th. B. Commission for Women This vacancy exists because the Board appointed Amy Hardee to serve Dn this Commission an December 16th and she had previously been appointed to this Comm~i ss i on. Commissioner Barnes moved that Jane Ryan be appointed to this vacancy and Commissioner Whitted seconded. Vote: Ayes, 3; Noes, 0. The Board directed the Glerk to notify Ms. Ryan of her appointment. C. Brian Mansfield of the County's Industrial Facilities and Pollution • Control Authority has Resigned The Board asked that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Mansfield and that the vacancy on the Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Authority be advertised. D. T:ie Board Should Name Three Trustees for the South Orange Fire District The Board directed the Clerk to readvertise these vacancies on the South Orange Fire District and stipulate they must be "resident freeholders." E. The Board Should Name One Physician Member to the Area Mental He,a1th Board The Board directed the Clerk to contact Drs. Hunter and Sieberman, ascertain their interest and return it to the next agenda.
