3 <br />PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE <br />This is to inform the public that a public hearing will be held on the proposed orange County Community <br />Transportation Program Application to be submitted to the North Carolina Department of Transportation <br />no later than March 31, 2010. The public hearing will be held on March 16, 2010 before the (governing board) <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners, <br />Those interested in attending the public hearing and needing either auxiliary aids and services under the <br />Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or a language translator should contact Jerry Passmore, Transportation <br />Director on or before March 12, at telephone number 919-245-2020 or via email at jpassmore@co.orange.nc.us. <br />The Community Transportation Program provides assistance to coordinate existing transportation <br />programs operating in Orange County outside the Chapel Hill Transit service district as well as provides <br />transportation options and services for the communities within this service area. These services are <br />currently provided using lift-equipped vans and minibuses on fined, deviated and demand respond routes .
