2 <br />Administrative funds will continue to be used to support overall transit systems management <br />and continue to promote general ridership. A public hearing is requested with the opportunity <br />for public discussion and comment before the Board take action on the resolution. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The NCDOT Community Transportation Program Grant requires a 15% <br />local match ($27,829) for administrative funding and a 10% local match ($20,950) for capital <br />funding. The total County match is $48,779 which will be considered in the upcoming County <br />budget. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the following: <br />1. Conduct a public hearing to receive public comments on the proposed grant application; <br />2. Approve the Community Transportation Program Grant application for FY 2010-2011 in <br />the total amount of $395,025 with local match of $48,779 (acceptance of the grant will be <br />subject to FY 2010-11 budget considerations); and <br />3. Authorize the Chair to sign the Community Transportation Program Resolution and <br />annual certified statements of participation. <br />
