Library Services <br />Library has received additional revenue from the following sources: <br />• State Aid Funds - additional funds' from the Regional Library System totaling <br />$3,430. These funds will offset departmental expenses and allow for purchase <br />additional books. <br />• Town of Hillsborough: Receipt of $5,000 to offset research materials costs, <br />equipment for the NC Room, and additional book carts for the Library. <br />This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds for the above mentioned <br />programs (See Attachment 1, column #2) <br />3. Criminal Justice Partnership Program <br />The Criminal Justice Partnership Program (CJPP) has received reallocated funds from the <br />State totaling $30,450. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds for <br />direct client services and offset operating and capital costs for the program. This award <br />brings the total CJPP Budget to $265,696 for fiscal year 2007 -08. (See Attachment 1, <br />column #3 and Attachment 3, CJPP Grant Project Ordinance) <br />4. Health Department <br />The Health Department has received notification of additional funds for the following <br />programs: <br />• Child Health Program — reimbursement funds of $250 from the State to offset <br />ongoing nurse training costs. <br />• Intensive Home Visiting Program — receipt of donated funds of $300 to offset costs <br />of program supplies. <br />• Food and Lodging Program (Environmental Health) — receipt of additional Food <br />and Lodging performance based funds totaling $628 to offset costs of program <br />supplies <br />This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds for the above mentioned <br />programs (See Attachment 1, column #4) <br />5. Conservation Easements Capital Project Ordinance <br />At its January 15, 2008 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved the <br />acceptance of an agricultural conservation easement related to the 141 -acre Breeze <br />Farm property. The cost of the property is approximately $450,000. Of this amount, <br />$212,090 will be reimbursed by the Federal Farm and Ranch Land Protection Program. <br />The County's share of $237,910 comes from alternative financing for conservation <br />easements previously approved by the Board of Commissioners. (See Attachment 4, <br />Conservation Easements Capital Project Ordinance) <br />
