r,2 • 5 a 5 5-e Agenda Item 6: Volunteer Awards Ceremony The Board nominated the following persons to be honored at the Governor's Volunteer Awards Ceremony in Raleigh, October 10th: Ms. Betty McAllister, Ms. Gaitha Lassiter, Mr. Wilson McKerrow and Mr. B. B. Olive. Agenda Item 9: Road Matter Commissioner Whitted moved, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit, 1 to concur with the Department of Transportation's recommendation to add Wildcat Lane, Bobcat Road and Puma Lane to the State's secondary road system. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, O. Agenda Item 11: Clean Water Bond Funds Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Wilihoit, 4 to accept a grant in the amount of $4,585 to assist in the construction of 15,000 lineal feet of 8 inch collection sewer, three pump stations, ;.r 6,000 lineal feet of 3 thru 4 inch force main and related appurtenances and to grant to the Environmental Management Commission the Assurances set forth in Section II of said grant offer. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. Agenda Item 12: Northern Fairview/Engineering Contract. Mr. John McAdams reviewed a proposed contract for engineering services in connection with the Northern Fairview Community Development Project. Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to authorize the Chairman to sign the contract with the suggested changes at the time funding comes through. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. . Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to authorize the Chairman and the Manager to make preliminary negotiations with the Town of Hillsborough concerning community development land. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. Agenda Item 15: Insolvent Tax Accounts The Tax Collector requested the Board release certain insolvent accounts for the years 1970 through 1979. • -4-
