The Director of Purchasing/Central Services explained the need <br /> for an additional clerk position in his department. The 'Board <br /> raised a question about the proposed position for a revenue clerk. <br /> The Board then discussed the Manager's proposals concerning <br /> Emergency Medical Services for the coming fiscal year. <br /> Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br /> to go ahead with $175,000 as outlined in Proposal 1, with the <br /> addition of $10,000 for a Director/Coordinator position and <br /> $3,000 provision for training. Vote: ayes, Commissioners Barnes, <br /> Willhoit, and Walker; noes, Commissioners Gustaveson and Whitted. <br /> For copy of the Manager's recommendation, see page 525 of this book. <br /> The Board reviewed the Public Safety portion of the budget. <br /> The Personnel Director spoke to merit increases and cost of- <br /> living increases. <br /> Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Whitted, <br /> to keep mileage reimbursement at 19 per mile. Vote: ayes, <br /> Commissioners Walker, Gustaveson, Whitted, and Barnes; noes, <br /> Commissioner Willhoit. The Board requested further information on <br /> mileage traveled from the Finance Director. <br /> There was a brief discussion of the schools' budgets. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, <br /> Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker, that <br /> the meeting be adjourned.
