MINUTES ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JUNE 18, 1980 The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session on Wednesday, June 18, 1980, at 7:30 p.m., in the Board Room, Lincoln Center, Merritt Mill Road, in Chapel Hill , North Carolina. Commissioners present: Commissioner Richard Whitted, Chairman, and Commissioners Norman Walker, Norman Gustaveson, Don Willhoit and Anne Barnes. The purpose of the meeting was to review the proposed Orange County budget for fiscal year 1980-81. The Finance Director submitted a memorandum concerning recommended budget amendments. For copy of this memorandum, see page 519 of this book. Commissioner Barnes raved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to approve the transfer in the Land Title Records Project's budget recommended by the Finance Director. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to approve the budget amendment for the Health Department recommended by the Finance Director. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, i to approve the budget amendment for the Housing Authority recommended by the Finance Director. Vote: ,ayes, 5; noes, 0. I Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Whitted, to P approve budget amendments -for Cedar Grove and Orange Rural Fire Districts as recommended by the Finance Director. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to approve the budget amendment in CETA Administration, IV YCCIP, SYEP and Resources as recommended by the Finance Officer. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. The Board then reviewed the Public Works section of the i proposed county budget for 1980-81. Mr. Ron Phillips, Public Works Director, was present to answer questions. f $
