No person appointed to a county advisory committee shall serve on <br />that board for more than terms or more than a period of years, <br />whichever is longer. <br />d. Extension of a member's term maybe approved by the board of commissioners if it <br />is determined that it is in the best interest of the county to allow an individual to <br />continue to serve. <br />Terms: <br />Each appointed advisory committee member shall serve a term of <br />years and hold office until the qualification and appointment of their successor or <br />until one year has elapsed since the expiration of the term for which they were. <br />appointed, whichever first occurs. No person shall serve as an appointed member of <br />the committee for more than two consecutive terms. <br />b. In order to establish staggered terms, three of the original voting members of the _ <br />committee shall be appointed for aone-year term, three for atwo-year term <br />and three for athree-year term. Thereafter, each new voting member shall serve for <br />a three-year term. No voting member will serve more than one term. <br />c.
