' i <br /> i� <br /> MINUTES <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> JUNE 13, 1980 <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session <br /> on Friday, June 13, 1980, at 6:00 p.m., in the Commissioners Room, <br /> Orange County Courthouse, in Hillsborough,. North Carolina. <br /> Commissioners present: Commissioner Richard Whitted, Chairman, <br /> and Commissioners Norman Walker, Norman Gustaveson, Anne Barnes, <br /> and Don Willhoit. , <br /> The purpose of the meeting was to review the human services <br /> section of the proposed 1980-81 county budget. <br /> The Chairman recognized Mr. Jerry Robinson, Director of Orange <br /> County Health Department. Mr. Robinson reviewed certain items in <br /> the Health Department's revised budget proposal, discussed fees <br /> recommended by the Health Board and commented about the Women's <br /> Health Counseling Service. <br /> Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br /> to give provisional approval of the revised budget recommended by <br /> the Board of Health. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> Mr. Sandy Davison, Chairman, Orange County Library Board of <br /> Trustees, and Mr. Cecil Sanford, Jr., member, Orange County Library <br /> Board of Trustees, and Mr. Lloyd Osterman, Director, Orange County <br /> Library,explained certain items requested in the library's budget <br /> f proposal. <br /> ` Ms. Mary Boone, Director, Chapel Hill Public Library, reviewed <br /> i <br /> Chapel Hill Library's budget requests. <br /> r Mr. James Brittain, Administrative Assistant, reviewed certain <br /> items in JOCCA's proposed budget for 1980-81. Mr. Wes Hare, Director, <br /> E <br /> E answered questions concerning JOCCA's budget proposal and submitted <br /> a letter endorsing the North Orange Improvement Club. <br /> Mr. George Corbett spoke on behalf of North Orange Improvement <br /> Club,which provides career education for youth, and requested $800 <br /> for supplies and $1,200 for transportation. <br />
