Clarion <br />Associates was retained by the Town of Emerald Isle to conduct a workshop and <br />prepare Design. Concepts for redevelopment of a strategic beachfront area, at the <br />base of a fishing pier. The Town's Land Use Plan, approved under the terms of <br />the N.C. Coastal Areas Management Act, call for this area-to become a Village <br />Center. Town leaders, full-time residents, property owners, and seasonal visitors <br />were brought together to explore ideas for redevelopment of the area, resulting in <br />a set of Design Concepts that form the foundation for new regulations and <br />development proposals.
