Commissioner Barnes moved to provide for a unified VRS system based on the VRS proposal , in light of the total system for the first year, Phase I, and that Manager submit a VRS plan for Board consideration 2 including fees for services. Motion died for lack of a second. Commissioner Gustaveson moved the following preamble: Goals: A. Approve in principal the VRS concept; provide support in developing a county-wide VRS system; approve the concept of a ,county-wide quality medical capability. 5 B. Declare the Board's intent to provide leadership and directorship for implementing goals embodied in the VRS concept; direct the County Manager and other knowledgeable persons to make a recommendation on what is needed to provide all paid employees and other budget items such as maintenance and gas for vehicles for Board consideration.
