3 Agenda Item 15E: Scotswood Subdivision The Planning Director reviewed the preliminary plan of Scotswood Subdivision, tax map 6 and 37, block 4, in Hillsborough Township. Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker, to approve the Planning Board's recommendation as amended: 1) 20 extra feet of road right-of-way should be observed on the north side of St. Mary's Road, to make the right-of-way 80 feet wide. 2) Make Graham Drive a major intersection with traffic islands and turn lanes and do not close off Carolina Avenue. 3) Lots 1&2, 3&4, 5&6 in Phase I should have common driveways. 4) Intersection "A" Graham Drive and St. Mary's Road would be used. For additional recommendations, see page 460 of this book. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. Commissioner Willhoit offered an amendment to delete lots 1 - 18 from the portion of the plan being approved until the question of the cul- de-sac and paving of First Street can be resolved. Commissioner Willhoit withdrew this amendment. Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to amend Commissioner Gustaveson's motion to include the paving of Woodlawn Drive and First Street as part of the approval of the subdivision. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. Agenda Item 16: AA oipp -'ntments Commissioner Walker nominated Mr. Mike Woods to fill the current vacancy on the County Planning Board. Commissioner Willhoit nominated Ms. Florence Peloquin to serve on the County Planning Board. The Chairman requested appointment be,postponed until more resumes are received. Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to table this item until the next meeting. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0.
