Agenda Item 8: <br /> Youth Services Needs Task Forte <br /> Mr. Harold Rogerson, Chairman of the Youth Services Needs Task <br /> Force, introduced other members of the Task Force present: Ms. Pat Vandiviere, <br /> Ms. Jan Schopler, Dr. David Loven and Mr. Jim Spencer. Mr. Rogerson <br /> then reviewed recommendations concerning the proposed allocation of funds <br /> County will receive for services to juveniles. For copy of Mr. Rogerson's <br /> letter outlining recommendations of the Task Force, see page 454 of this <br /> s <br /> book. <br /> The Board requested an opportunity to consider the Task Forte's <br /> recommendations and asked this item be placed on the May 20th agenda. <br /> The Chairman then called for lunch recess. After the lunch break, <br /> the Chairman began discussion of Agenda Item 13, "Older American's Month". <br /> Agenda Item 13: Older American's Month <br /> f <br /> The Chairman read a proclamation declaring May, "Older American's <br /> } 456 of this book. <br /> ;i Month". <br /> For copy of this proclamation, see page <br /> r <br /> Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br /> to approve the above proclamation declaring May, "Older American's Month". <br /> Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> Mr. Wilson McKerrow, Chairman of the Council on Aging, thanked <br /> li <br /> the Commissioners for their support. <br /> Agenda Item 9: Subdivision Regulations <br /> The Manager said he had received a letter from the Town of Hillsborough <br /> requesting the County enforce its subdivision regulations within the <br /> corporate limits of Hillsborough and within the extraterritorial zoning <br /> jurisdiction. The Board requested a member of the Hillsborough Town <br /> Board be present to discuss this request and that this item be scheduled <br /> for discussion on another agenda. The Board requested the Manager <br /> develop cost figures if the County were to provide-these services and <br /> requested an opportunity to review.the letter from the Town of Hillsborough. <br /> Agenda Item 10: Road Naming Recommendations <br /> The Board requested state road # 1517 be deleted from the proposed <br /> 3 <br /> 13 list of road names submitted by the Road Naming Advisory Committee <br /> d <br /> and be returned to the Committee. The Board requested delaying approval <br /> of state road # 1175 until more information was obtained. <br /> ' ,c <br />
