Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker, i to call for a June 24th election, or the earliest possible election time, and to approve a mechanism which would void the resolution if a different time schedule is required as a result of the May 6th elections. Commissioner Gustaveson withdrew his motion and Commissioner Walker withdrew his second. Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker, that the Orange County Board of Elections is respectfully directed to hold and conduct an election in the Southern Fire Triangle District for in favor and those against levying a tax the purpose of determining those in the said District for fire protection therein. Said election shall be held pursuant to the relevant provisions of NC General Statutes §69-25.1, et seq. and NC General Statutes §163-1, et seq. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. Commissioner Walker moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to request the Board of Elections hold a referendum at the earliest possible time within statutory requirements. Agenda Item 6: DOT Secondary Road Plan 1980-81 Commissioner Walker moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to approve the Secondary Road Plan for the 1980-81 fiscal year submitted by the Board of Transportation. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. Mr. John Watkins responded to Commissioner Willhoit's earlier inquiry about the paving of Lexington Circle And reported on activities in the Wildcat Creek subdivision. Agenda Item 7: Birchwood Lake Estates Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker, to acknowledge receipt of a secondary road investigation report from the 'F• Department of Transportation which deletes two cul-de-sacs, Chestnut Lane and Crabapple Lane, from a previous report approved by the Board of • Commissioners at its March 18th meeting. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0.
