ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: February 16, 2010 <br />SUBJECT: Contract Award for Architectural Services, <br />PhacA II <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. ~(- - e <br />Link Government Services Center <br />DEPARTMENT: AMPS PUBLIC HEARING: (YIN) No <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />Professional Services Contract <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Pam Jones, 919-245-2652 <br />Jeff Thompson, 919-245-2658 <br />PURPOSE: To consider approval of the Architectural Professional Services Contract with <br />Corley, Redfoot, Zack Architects ("CRZ") for the Link Government Services Center Phase II. <br />BACKGROUND: The first phase of renovations within the Link Center was completed <br />recently. The Board authorized work not to exceed $575,000 for Phase II, which will include <br />development of a Board meeting room and technology associated with its operation as well as <br />restroom and HVAC upgrades necessary to support the more intensive use of this facility. <br />Corley, Redfoot, Zack Architects ("CRZ") provided the Phase I design and construction <br />documentation and is now prepared to continue design work for Phase II. CRZ will be supported <br />by Reece, Noland & McElrath Engineers for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing design <br />work necessary. <br />The following table depicts the design and construction activities and estimated completion <br />dates.
