Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> For copies of these resolutions, see page 427 of this book. <br /> The Board authorized the Chairman to write letters to Mr. McAllister <br /> and Mr. Terrell in reply to their objections to the participatory paving <br /> of state road # 1878. <br /> Agenda Item 6: Road Namin - Public Hearin <br /> The Chairman recognized Mr. David Shanklin, Vice-Chairman, Road <br /> Naming Advisory Committee. Mr. Shanklin called for a public hearing <br /> to convene to discuss proposed road names for certain roads in <br /> Orange County. There being no comment from persons <br /> in the audience, Mr. Shanklin requested the Board of Commissioners <br /> consider the proposed names in Caldwell Fire District for approval. <br /> Mr. Shanklin called for comment concerning proposed road, names in <br /> Cedar Grove Fire District. An unidentified gentleman inquired whether <br /> Brigadoon Drive was named as suggested at the last meeting. Mr. <br /> Shanklin said that it was. An unidentified woman expressed the need <br /> for maintenance work on Brigadoon Drive. Commissioner Whitted explained <br /> the Board of Commissioners had written the Department of Transportation <br /> relative to Brigadoon Drive. The Department of Transportation had <br /> responded that it would not consider adding Brigadoon Drive to the <br /> I -2- <br />
