5 <br />REVENUE COLLECTIONS MANAGER <br />ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS <br />Serves as backup to Webmaster; makes changes or updates to website when needed. <br />Fills in as cashier to enable staff to attend meetings, training, etc. <br />Performs various administrative tasks as required, including preparing reports and <br />correspondence, entering and retrieving computer data, copying and filing documents, reviewing <br />professional journals, returning telephone calls, attending and conducting meetings, answering <br />the telephone, etc. <br />Performs other related work as required. <br />MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE <br />Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in <br />business administration, accounting or a related field and three to five years of experience in tax <br />assessment, appraisal or collections. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's <br />license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Must <br />be certified as a Deputy Tax Collector. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED <br />TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS <br />Physical Requirements: Must by physically able to operate a variety of automated office <br />machines and equipment, which includes a computer, typewriter, printer, computer assisted multi- <br />line telephone system, copier, etc. Must be able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally <br />and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise <br />move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or <br />standing for periods of time. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of up to twenty pounds. <br />Data Conception: Requires the ability to compare and/or judge the readily observable, functional, <br />structural or compositional characteristics (whether similar or divergent from obvious standards) of <br />data, people or things. <br />Interpersonal Communication: Requires the ability of speaking and/or signaling people to convey <br />or exchange information. Includes the giving of assignments and/or directions to subordinates and <br />receiving direction from supervisor. <br />Lanquape Ability: Requires the ability to read a variety of reports, correspondence, audit reports, <br />notices, etc. Requires the ability to prepare correspondence, reports, forms, assessments, etc., <br />using prescribed formats and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style. <br />Requires the ability to speak before groups of people with poise, voice control and confidence. <br />Intelligence: Requires the ability to apply rational systems to solve practical problems and deal <br />with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; to <br />interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form_ <br />©Archer Company 2008 <br />
