11 <br />REVALUATION MANAGER <br />Ensures that all property is appraised timely and all data entry is completed timely <br />Refers to North Carolina Machinery Act, Schedule of Values, Marshall and. Swift Valuation, <br />Personnel Ordinance, dictionary, Thesaurus, policy and procedure manuals, codes /laws / <br />regulations, publications and reference texts, etc. <br />Operates a variety of office equipment and machinery such as computer calculator, telephone, copy <br />machine, printers, motor vehicles, etc. <br />Uses a variety of tools such as writing instruments, stapler, ruler, etc.; a variety of supplies such as <br />paper, Machinery Act, Schedule of Values, Marshall and Swift Valuation Service, Personnel <br />Ordinance, general office supplies and a variety of computer software such as Host Access, <br />Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, ArcView, Munis, etc. <br />Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as Assessor, Assessor, <br />Assessor's Office staff, other departments, Board of Equalization and Review, and the general <br />public. <br />ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS <br />Attends various meetings. <br />Performs routine administrative /office tasks as required, including but not limited to preparing <br />reports and correspondence, copying and filing documents, answering the telephone, sending <br />and receiving faxes, entering and retrieving computer data, etc. <br />Performs other related work as required. <br />MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE <br />Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree and two <br />to four years of experience in tax assessment/appraisal, and revaluation. Possession of or ability to <br />readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle <br />or equipment operated. Has completed all necessary training and certification by the North <br />Carolina Department of Revenue as prescribed in the Machinery Act of North .Carolina to be <br />certified as a North Carolina County Appraiser. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED <br />TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS <br />Physical Requirements: Must by physically able to operate a variety of automated office <br />machines and equipment, which includes a computer, printer, copier, etc. Must be able to exert <br />up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly <br />to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the <br />time, but may involve walking or standing for periods of time.
