Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to <br /> approve the Youth Services Needs Task Force's recommendation to enlarge <br /> the Task Force to include Ms. Donna Williams, Mr. Dan Lunsford and <br /> Ms. Lisa Lauffer. Vote: ayes, 4; noes, 0. <br /> Agenda Item 11: Partici ator Pavina Resolutions <br /> Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br /> to approve the preliminary assessment resolutions for the financing <br /> by Orange County of the local share of the costs of paving North <br /> Carolina State Roads No. 1593, 1878, and 1320 as read. Vote: ayes, 4; <br /> noes, 0. For copy of these resolutions, see page 391 of this book. <br /> Agenda Item 18: Announcements <br /> The Chairman announced the Board of Commissioners would meet in special <br /> i session at the Carrboro Town Hall , 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 22nd, <br /> to hear representatives of the Federal Emergency Management Agency discuss <br /> F <br /> details of a flood insurance program to be offered in Orange County. <br /> The Chairman read a letter he had received from the Department of <br /> Transportation in reply to queries raised by the Board concerning <br /> Brigadoon Drive. The Chairman directed the Clerk to send a copy of <br /> DOT's reply to the gentleman who appealed to the Board for help in <br /> this matter. <br /> Agenda Item 20: Day Care Facility Space <br /> 9 Ms. Deanna Bullard and Ms. Sue Russell requested the Board consider <br /> making a commitment for space at Cedar Grove School so that an interested <br /> i <br /> group could apply for grant funds to get a day care facility started in <br /> 4 <br /> that area of the County. <br /> Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to <br /> endorse the group's moving ahead with a grant proposal application with <br /> i <br /> the understanding that this action does not make the County a day care <br /> provider if the grant does not go through and contingent upon the Board <br /> l of Social Services reviewing and recommending the County's role in <br /> F <br /> providing day care services. <br /> Vote: ayes, 4; noes, 0. <br /> The Board requested the Manager prepare a letter stating the Board's <br /> t <br /> ds and requested the persons <br /> endorsement of the application for grant fun <br /> r <br />
