For copy of this order, see page 388 of <br /> this book. <br /> Agenda Item 10: Amendments to Sedimentation and Erosion <br /> Control Ordinance <br /> Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit, to <br /> approve amendments requested by the North Carolina Sedimentation Control <br /> Commission and that a letter be drafted to express to the Commission this <br /> Board's concern about how cumbersome and expensive the appeal process <br /> has become. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> Agenda Item 7: Department of Social Services <br /> The Social Services Director reviewed budget profile for tentative <br /> public assistance budgets for 1979-80, 1980-81. <br /> The Chairman called for the lunch recess. After the lunch recess, <br /> discussion resumed on the Social Services' budget. <br /> Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker, to <br /> refer the budget back to the Social Services Board to rework. <br /> The Board expressed its concern about a requested 12 percent budget <br /> increase and requested additional information concerning the cross-impacts <br /> on medicade payments if chore services were cut, the cross-impact on <br /> additional state and federal funding if cutbacks were made, about what <br /> staff cutbacks would mean in terms of service delays; the Board requested <br /> additional information concerning the number of County case loads as <br /> compared with state averages; the Board also expressed its concern over <br /> increased mandated programs without proportionate increases in state <br /> funding, and budget implications for additional day care services. <br />
