No one spoke for or against roads in Efland Fire <br /> District. <br /> Mr. Shanklin called for comments on proposed road names in Eno <br /> Fire District. <br /> A property owner in Laurel Ridge area had no objection to access <br /> road # 1582 being named Laurel Ridge Road but requested the Road <br /> Naming Advisory Committee post a Dead End road sign at the beginning <br /> of road # 1582 so that general traffic would not travel her private <br /> road. <br /> Mr. John Allen requested proposed Belinda Drive, road # 1876, <br /> be named Valinda Drive. Mr. Shanklin said that change would be <br /> .agreeable. <br /> Mr. Calvin Wilson requested road # 1590, Brigadoon Drive, be <br /> withheld from the list of proposed names. Mr. Shanklin invited <br /> Mr. Wilson to the Road Naming Advisory Committee meeting to be <br /> held April 1st. <br /> Ms. Ann King requested the proposed name for road # 1840 be Cedar <br /> Terrace instead of Whispering Pines Circle. Mr. Shanklin explained <br /> the name Cedar would conflict with other road names within the County. <br /> Mr. Fred Aldridge requested road # 1564 be named Riley Road <br /> or Riley Lane instead of Dezern Road. <br /> Mr. Shanklin said the Committee would check the history of roads <br /> # 1715 and 1564 to determine which road should be named Riley Road. <br /> Mr. Jim Riggs asked the proposed name of road # 1560. Mr. Shanklin <br /> advised this road was called Lawrence Road from St. Mary's Road to <br /> No. 10. <br /> Chairman Whitted submitted a letter from Ed Lowdermilk requesting <br /> road # 1877 in Eno Fire District be named Woodvine Drive instead of <br /> Celastrus Drive. <br /> -2- <br />
