Agenda Item 8D: Appointment-Energy Conservation Commission <br /> The Chairman announced Ms. Sondra Dennison had resigned from <br /> the Energy Conservation Commission, creating one vacancy on that Commission. <br /> Agenda Item 8E: Appointment-Commission For Women <br /> Commissioner Gustaveson nominated Ms. Betty Compton to serve on <br /> the Orange County Commission for Women. There being no further <br /> nominations, Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker, <br /> to appoint Ms. Betty Compton to fill the current vacancy on the Orange <br /> County Commission for Women. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> Agenda Item 8F: Appointments-JOCCA Board <br /> The Chairman announced the Chapel Hill-Carrboro School system <br /> had nominated Ms. Edith Elliott to serve on the JOCCA Board. <br /> Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, <br /> to confirm the appointment of Ms. Edith Elliott on the JOCCA Board. <br /> 6 Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> The Manager announced the Clerk to the Board had been incorrectly <br /> advised of the Orange County Board of Education's appointment to the <br /> JOCCA Board and that the Orange County Board of Education had nominated <br /> James Rae Freeland to serve as its representative on the JOCCA Board. <br /> Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br /> to appoint James Rae Freeland to serve on the JOCCA Board.
